According to Latest News, 1.12 Lakh ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) Workers will be Posted in Bihar. One ASHA WORKER will be posted in every Ward to provide various types of medical facilities run by the state and central government. Bihar government has started work on the plan to deploy one ASHA Worker in all the wards, soon the entire process will be completed.

प्रत्येक वार्ड के लिए एक आशा वर्कर
बिहार में कुल वार्डों की संख्या 1 लाख 12 हजार है लेकिन बिहार में अभी तक आशा कार्यकर्ताओं की संख्या केवल 88 हजार 568 है. जिसमे चार हजार से अधिक Asha Facilitator हैं. इसलिए बिहार सरकार ने आशा कार्यकर्ताओं की संख्या को बढ़ाने का फैसला किया है. अब बिहार में आशा कार्यकर्ताओं की संख्या 1 लाख 12 हजार कर दी जाएगी. इस प्रकार अब हर एक वार्ड में एक आशा वर्कर होगी तैनात. यह सारे वर्कर केंद्र सरकार एवं राज्य सरकार सरकार द्वारा चलाये गए Medical Facilities को हर घर तक पहुचने का काम करेंगीं.
Asha Worker Salary in Bihar 2022
Asha Worker Salary : Monthly Salary of Asha Worker is Rs.1500. Along with this, 90 Thousand Asha Worker will get Rs.500 for Uniform. In addition to this, Asha Workers also get Incentive by working for different schemes run by government. There are a total of 63 schemes run by the Central Government and the State Government in Bihar. Incentive is given for all schemes. Talking about the salary of an Asha worker in Bihar, an Asha worker gets an incentive ranging from Rs.4800 to Rs.12000. Although many schemes are going on, but for completing 6 out of 8 schemes of the Central Government, Rs 2000 is given and for completing 4 out of 6 schemes of the State Government, Rs 2000 is given as incentive.

According to the latest information, now the qualification of Asha worker should be 10th pass. Earlier, the qualification for Asha worker was 8th pass. Candidates with Higher Qualification Like Graduation, PG are also eligible to apply for this position.
Bihar Asha Worker Selection Process (चयन प्रक्रिया)
Generally, the selection of ASHA worker is done by the Head of Gram Panchayat (मुखिया) by organizing a general meeting (आम सभा). The ASHA workers are elected by the members (सदस्य) and public representatives (जनप्रतिनिधि) of the village attending the general meeting (आम सभा).
