What is NMMS Examination?
National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) has been started by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Only economically weak meritorious students can apply under this scheme. Under this scheme, a scholarship of Rs 12000 is provided every year by the Ministry of Education to the students studying in government schools, recognized schools, madrassas and Sanskrit schools for their studies in class 9th and 10th.
NMMS Exam Pattern 2023
Two subjects have been included in the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Exam Pattern 2023. One is MAT (मानसिक योग्यता परीक्षा) and the other is SAT (शैक्षिक योग्यता परीक्षा). This exam is of total 180 marks, in which 90 marks have been given for MAT and 90 marks for SAT. The total number of questions in this is also 180, 90 marks each for MAT and SAT.

NMMS Exam Syllabus for Class 8 2023
There is no prescribed syllabus for this scholarship exam. The main objective of this test is to identify the talented students. The questions that will come in this test will be based on the subjects/syllabus of class 8 taught in the schools of the state.
NMMS MAT Syllabus:-
Under Mansik Yogyata Pariksha (MAT), there will be verbal (शाब्दिक), Nonverbal (अशाब्दिक) questions related to “reasoning (तर्क), analysis (विश्लेषण) एवं synthesis (संश्लेषण).
NMMS SAT Syllabus:-
Under Shaikshik Yogyata Pariksha (SAT), the questions will be asked from Science विज्ञान (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Social Science सामाजिक विज्ञान (History, Civics and Geography) and Mathematics गणित.
Ans: Passing Marks for NMMS Exam for Each of MAT and SAT is 40% for General Category and 32% for SC / ST / PWD Candidates.
